Next week, Brennan Industries will be collecting household goods, groceries and baby care items to donate to The Providence House.
Located in Cleveland, The Providence House is Ohio's first crisis nursery that offers free, voluntary (non-custodial) emergency shelter to children newborn through ten years old, actively living in crisis situations which place them at risk of abuse or neglect. The Providence House does a great job protecting children, supporting families, and strengthening our local community.
If you're local to the Cleveland area and interested in donating, here is a list of items on The Providence House wishlist. They also have an Amazon Wishlist, which makes it easy and convenient to give.
And if you'd like some more inspiration, here are a few other easy ways to spread some kindness during the holidays:
- Volunteer at your local animal shelter
- Pay for the person behind you at a drive-thru
- Bake cookies for your local service people
- Donate to a charity of your choice
- Gather up winter coats and donate them to a Goodwill or homeless shelter
- Donate blood
- Give an unexpected generous tip next time you're out to eat
Focusing on acts of kindness and doing good deeds during this busy time of year is a great tradition to start with yourself, your family or your workplace.
Thank you and Happy Holidays!
